BAYERN INNOVATIV - BAYERISCHE GESELLSCHAFT FUR INNOVATION UND WISSENSTRANSFER MBH

Bayern Innovativ, the company for innovation, technology and knowledge transfer in Bavaria, is a corporation of the Free State of Bavaria. It employs more than 200 people with (mostly academic) qualifications in relevant fields of management, sciences and technology, and has an annual budget/turnover of more than 20 million Euro.

BAY INNO supports players from industry and science at all stages of the value chain with customized services to increase their innovation dynamics. Bayern Innovativ operates at the interfaces of a wide variety of sectors and technologies. The goal is an ecosystem with dynamic networks for an accelerated innovation
process. In addition to its own clusters of energy technology, mechatronics, automotive and new materials, one focus of activities is "cross-clustering" with the other Bavarian clusters and networking with the other key players in Bavaria's innovation landscape.

Within the Bavaria2Europe project, BAY INNO coordinates the project consortium and take responsibility e.g. as consortium Sustainability Advisor and IT Champion. In Activity 1, BAY INNO provides targeted partnering, advisory and capacity building Network services for SMEs and SME-related clients, especially in the following fields:
• innovation strategy and innovation management;
• innovative, digital and sustainable business models;
• innovation partnerships and projects; open innovation and technology transfer;
• access to funding and financing for innovation projects;
• compliance of new products and services with European technical norms, standards and regulations;
• strategic management of intellectual property;
• international innovation marketing and access to international value chains.

Additionally, BAY INNO provides specific contributions to the Bavaria2Europe communication work plan in Activity 2, delivers specific network building and development activities (including active memberships in Sector & Thematic Groups) in Activity 3, and takes over additional responsibilities for overall network coordination and quality management (like chairing or co-chairing groups) in Activity 4.
