The EEN of Madrid Chamber of Commerce and Industry organizes a seminar on Foreign Markets, which is focused in Egypt. The positive current economic situation of Egypt and its prospects for the future, make this market very attractive for foreign companies, and specially Spanish Companies wishing to enter in the Egyptian market. Egypt, with a population of more than 100 million inhabitants and a sustained economic growth of more than 5%, presents commercial opportunities and potential demand in virtually all economic sectors. 20% of its population has a medium and high purchasing power. It has a highly diversified economy and in terms of GDP it is consolidated as the third in the area, behind Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. The North African country registered an estimated economic growth of 5.6% in the third quarter of fiscal year 2018-2019. The Egyptian Government is developing the Vision 2030 Plan, a comprehensive plan that aims to boost GDP and employment growth and greater private participation in the country's economy. According to the latest official data available, € 1,646 million exported in 2018 represent a 34% increase over € 1,227 million in 2017.
