APRE, within the framework of the European SME Week 2015, is organizing the “SPACE week in Rome - 2015”. The event will include a matchmaking event session co-organized by the EEN regional network of Lazium region, by the Space and Aeronautics sector group of EEN and others EEN nodes with a strong interest in the SPACE related issues. The 3 days-event will be hosted by the Italian Space Agency from the 21st to the 23rd October 2015.Event activities- The 21st of October o site visit - The 22nd of October o International cooperation workshop o Brokerage event - The 23rd of Octobero International info day Focus Between 2014 and 2020, over EUR 12 billion will be spent on the implementation of the EU’s three space programmes:1. Satellite navigation: The Galileo and EGNOS programmes which provide positioning, navigation, and timing information worldwide.2. Earth observation: The Copernicus programme which provides Earth observation data and information.3. Space research: Part of the Horizon 2020 programme focuses specifically on space technologies, applications (e.g. GNSS and Earth observation), weather, sciences, exploration, and other space related topics.The international event will provide anticipations on the calls for proposals under the Space theme in Horizon 2020 as well as useful information on the Copernicus programme and the GALILEO programme. The event will be addressed to universities, research centres, industry, SMEs and SMEs associations, local administrations, providing new opportunities and competitive advantages for the participants offering strategic networking opportunities.
