● Context:Aeronautics and Space are key sectors for boosting the economic development in the UE. Thus, around 60 European territories, including Andalusia (Spain) and Alentejo (Portugal) have considered this field as priority within the framework of their correspondent Smart Specialization Strategies for R&D (RIS3).Accordingly, both cross-border territories are developing and carrying out a set of instruments, actions and partnerships for the implementation of their regional RIS3 Strategies, R&D and industrial policies, in collaboration with the most relevant European stakeholders in the aerospace sector. One of the main collaborations has been established with the European program CLEAN SKY, the largest European research programme developing innovative, cutting-edge technology aimed at reducing CO2, gas emissions and noise levels produced by aircraft. Funded by the EU’s Horizon 2020 programme, Clean Sky contributes to strengthen European aero-industry collaboration, global leadership and competitiveness working with EU Regions and States.● Objectives:The main objectives of this event are:- To inform companies and stakeholders involved with Andalusian and Portuguese aerospace innovation ecosystems about the 7th CleanSky call opportunities and topics, in parallel with the latest European, national and regional initiatives, programmes and calls, such as the new Andalusian Incentives Scheme for the promotion of R&D&i projects and their complementarities and synergies with European funds, particularly with CleanSky2.- To promote business and technology cooperation among Andalusian and Alentejo SMEs, helping them to meet the technological leaders of aeronautical sector with the objective to increase their participation in CLEAN SKY 2 call for proposals.- To present AERIS project, a partnership of Andalusian and Portuguese actors involved with aeronautics.
