The thematic focus of the event will cover the call on 'Sustainable Food Security' of the Horizon 2020 SC2 work programme for 2018 (Societal Challenge 2 in Horizon 2020: 'Food Security, Sustainable Agriculture and Forestry, Marine, Maritime and Inland Water Research and the Bioeconomy').From the 7th to 10th November 2017, the 8th International Symposium on Recent Advances in Food Analysis (RAFA 2017) will take place in Prague, Czech Republic. The RAFA 2017 Symposium will be preceded by a thematically linked BioHorizon Brokerage Event organised by the EU-funded BioHorizon project on 6th November 2017. Taking place at the same location and organised in conjunction with the hosts of RAFA 2017, the BioHorizon Brokerage Event is offered free of charge and is open to all interested stakeholders subject to prior registration. The purpose of the brokerage event is to help all research stakeholders find the right partners for consortia addressing topics in the upcoming 'Sustainable Food Security' call 2018.If you are attending RAFA 2017, the BioHorizon Brokerage Event is a perfect opportunity to make a start building your Horizon 2020 consortium. To facilitate brokerage and the advance scheduling of bilateral meetings between participants, you will be required to submit a research profile upon registration. In addition to the bilateral meetings between potential project partners, participants will also be able to meet with representatives of various supporting bodies and initiatives, as well as with the NCPs from the BioHorizon project, responsible for the organisation of the event. The BioHorizon Brokerage Event will be dedicated to consortium building. The main part of the event will comprise bilateral meetings between people interested in the same call topics. The event programme will also provide a limited number of researchers to present their project ideas in 5 minute flash presentations.
