Dutch SME is seeking distributors for its innovative product which allows for real time, non-invasive risk assessment of diseases affecting heart and blood vessels. The product provides crucial clinical information to clinicians and researchers. The partner should have an extensive network in the market with established relationships with key-opinion-leaders, hospitals and general practitioners. They should be familiar with medical devices related to cardiovascular diseases and diabetes.
A Dutch SME in the health industry has developed a device which allows doctors and physicians to assess the risk of cardiovascular diseases without penetrating the patient's skin. The first version of the product is on the market since 2006.
The device illuminates the skin of the forearm. This light will excite fluorescent moieties in the tissue which will emit light of a different wavelength. In the used wavelength band the major contribution in fluorescence comes from Advanced Glycation Endproducts (AGEs). AGEs play a pivotal role in the development of chronic age-related diseases such as diabetes, renal failure and cardiovascular diseases. The level of AGEs in long-lived tissues (not in blood!) serves as a memory of glycometabolic and oxidative stress and is a valuable predictor of cardiovascular complications.
The client is looking for distributors of this product in the partner's country who will be responsible for the national business development, marketing and sales. On the long term, the partner should be able and willing to provide technical maintenance services to its clients.
The client is particularly interested in distributors in the United Kingdom and France. However, interested parties from other countries are also invited to send an Expression of Interest.

The client is looking for a long term agreement with a partner to introduce and distribute the product in the region/country of the partner.
The partner should have experience with distributing products related to cardiovascular diseases and diabetes. Moreover the partner should have a broad network of healthcare providers including, but not solely, physicians, general practitioners, private clinics and hospitals. Additionally it should have good relations with key-opinion-leaders.
Experience with point of care products would be an advantage, as well as experience with promoting reimbursement by health insurance companies of the implementation of innovative products.
The partner will be responsible for the business development, marketing and sales in the partner's country. On the long term the distributor is expected to provide technical service and maintenance to its clients.
