Italian network of companies producing fibregalss products for several fields of application with the use of a large number of technologies and productive processes is interested in finding partners for commercial agency and manufacturing agreements, reciprocal production.
It is also interested in partners for European projects and exchange of best practice regarding waste
The network is located in Friuli Venezia Giulia, was born in 2011 between five enterprises working in the fibreglass sector from at least 40 years. It offers many of these complementary products:
-Tanks of different sizes -for both deposit and process;
-Purification systems covers;
-Pipes even with wide diameters;
-Aquaculture and food industry's tanks;
-Chemical industry's tanks;
-Board walk, stairs and railings;
-Fences and gates;
-Planking levels and different types of grates;
-Flanges, junctions and different accessories.
This wide range of offers is due to the enterprises network, extraordinary organising instrument for competitiveness of small and medium sized enterprises.
The main markets for fibreglass products are:
Chemical and petrochemical, Irrigation systems, Automotive, Water purification systems, Aquaculture, Infrastructure (railways and airports), Waste treatment
At this stage the network is looking for partners to develop and/or reduce the length of time of new productive processes and launch new products and services in fibreglass products' sector and similar materials. There's a particular interest in taking part in planning initiatives that rely on direct access to EU programs, especially where fibreglass/plastic products are mostly used (sector of tanks and pipes' accessories production, chemical and naval sector, tanks and reservoirs production for fish-farming, carpentry, production waste management, etc.). Specifically, it's aimed to reduce the production costs of products and processes, for an export increase of products through the best exploitation possible of the different productive technologies offered by the whole enterprises network. In order to reduce the costs of transport and many types of difficulties due to logistics, it's better to produce specific voluminous items as near as possible to the customer. Because of this the need of starting production partnerships with European companies.
Proponents would be interested in taking part in already started projects, even if still at a preparation stage (so not as project leader) for the development of new materials and/or new productive processes, which could be used in the already mentioned sectors. Furthermore there's a particular interest towards the use of “best practices” in the waste management sector, especially towards recycling. In fact in the field of fibreglass items production, until now there are three way of manage waste. The most common is the garbage dump disposal to which follows the incineration and the use of the “energetic” value of the waste. The network shows interest in recycling. The recycle is realised in the waste grinding which is then used as by-product in the concrete sector.
Fibreglass is a relatively new material with applications on different sectors from infrastructures to petrochemicals, from the fishing sector to the food industry, from automotive to the naval sector, etc. Its main features are the corrosion resistance and the favourable relation between lightness and mechanical resistance. Durability and weather resistance allow this material to be a good alternative to the ones traditionally used for civil works (water purification systems, etc.). For what concerns factories fibreglass pipes and tanks insure a completely safe use, minor maintenance costs and a perfect resistance to corrosion and corrosive agents. Moreover, since fibreglass is a material which doesn't conduct electricity, it is used as a fence for electrical systems, for railways and for airports, as application of electrical insulation. A decisively innovative element is the organisational set-up of the companies thanks to the network contract. This instrument allows each of the involved companies to improve its own innovative abilities and its market competitiveness. These goals are also pursued through the acquisition and realisation of complex size orders of which responsibility wouldn't otherwise be taken on by the single enterprise. All this is also possible because the companies don't share only complementary products, but all together form a production area made of different productive processes. The network is then able to manage a large number of technologies and productive processes (RTM, vacuum infusion, press work, filament widding, etc.) from which several kind of customers' needs could be satisfied.
Companies, research centers, consulting companies
As for launch/design of new products will require expertise in business area with a focus on chemical industry, infrastructure, aquaculture, water system. Given the particular nature of the product, the company requires prevoius technical experience. In fact fibreglass's item can't be offered through a catalog but only through custom designs. As for cost reduction and best practices in waste management it will require technical skills that can be found in research centers and cunsulting firms.
