The company is currently investigating the application of its peptide technology to oral care products and is undertaking an R&D project examining this application. As part of this ongoing research the company is looking for in vitro model systems that accurately replicate the in vivo situation found in the oral cavity. They are especially interested in models that replicate the formation of plaque biofilms on teeth and which can be used to examine the efficacy of active agents in both disrupting preformed plaque biofilms and preventing the formation of plaque biofilms.
The model system sought by this company must model the oral cavity as accurately as possible and make is possible to measure the efficacy of an active substance in disrupting preformed plaque biofilms on teeth and in preventing the formation of plaque on teeth. The system must be an in vitro model. The company is not interested in in vivo models.
The company is making the technology request for a later workpackage of an ongoing internal research project.
