The German fashion start-up from the Frankfurt am Main region is specialised in men´s shirts in comfort fit cut. The company offers only casual shirts. This has been identified as a market niche not covered by the market leaders by now. The founder/CEO is looking for a production partner in Europe/Africa/Asia who is able to carry out the sewing work under a manufacturing agreement.
The German start-up company based in the federal state of Hesse (Frankfurt am Main region) has been active in the textiles segment for 1 year. The management is driven by the opportunity of addressing an uncovered market niche. The company sells affordable shirts with a good cotton quality in stylish patterns. The market for casual shirts in comfort fit has a yearly volume of 12.0 million units, which is a 10% share of the total shirt market in Germany. Once the brand has been established successfully on the market, it is planned to add more products (e.g. jeans) to the product portfolio.
The current market of the start-up is Germany. The shirts are sold online through a webshop which is designed user-friendly and offers Paypal-Express as a payment method. (Easy check-out without creating an account.)
In order to raise the competitiveness of the start-up, the management would like to cooperate with a sewing company in Europe/Africa/Asia. The partner is expected to source the materials, to be experienced in textile printing (e.g. all over print) and to be able to carry out the sewing work according to patterns delivered by the contractor. The partner should be able to deliver constantly high quality at competitive prices under a manufacturing agreement.
The company offers modern shirts in comfort fit which are already quite competitive in terms of style, quality and price. Their brand name and logo have a high recognition factor.
Under the manufacturing agreement, the partner from Europe/Africa/Asia is expected to print the designs from pictures provided by the German company. Therefore, the partner should have existing expertise in textile printing (e.g. all over print). The sewing work will have to be carried out according to patterns delivered by the German company. The tasks under the manufacturing agreement will also include sourcing of the materials. Potential partners would be manufacturers with a variety of available designs and a good cotton quality (Pina Cotton/Egyptian Cotton). The partner should be able to produce 10.000 shirts a month.
The company looks for a reliable production partner on the basis of a manufacturing agreement who can carry out the sourcing for the contracts, print the designs and sew the shirts from patterns.
Sewing companies from Europe or Africa are preferred. A cooperation with partners from Asia is also possible.
The result is expected to be a win/win situation:
Possibility for the partner to access a foreign market with stable quantities.
