The company with branches in Germany, Japan and Thailand was founded in 1972 as plastic injection moulding manufacturer. In the early 1990s they expanded their activities to metal injection moulding (MIM) which is now the more growing sector.
MIM technology is suitable to make small metal parts (smaller than 30mm in one direction). The SME has in-house material production for various metals, which allows a wider range of material to be offered such as stainless steel, titanium, titanium alloy, copper, copper alloy, soft magnetic alloy, precious metals and so on for serial production.
The micro MIM technology developed by the company allows the R&D and engineering department to create small and complicated metal parts for serial production, even with designs that were impossible with conventional manufacturing technologies.
Their products are widely adopted especially by Japanese major and leading companies in various industrial sectors:

They are seeking a partner licensing the technology. The partner should already know about MIM manufacturing technology or be keen to introduce the technology in order to create metal components. The company would also provide them the necessary material (MIM pellet).
Manufacturing agreement – the company would be the partner’s OEM manufacturer based on the partner’s design of metal components. They would consult with the partner’s R&D or engineering department in order for them to design optimal metal components using the MIM technology. The partner may have customers e.g. in medical/dental device industry, or other industries that uses micro-gear/micro-nozzle/micro-cam/micro-valve etc.

It is believed that only a few companies are capable to apply MIM from small to micro sized metal parts with such a wide range of material and high accuracy. The technology is advantageous in manufacturing fine structured metal parts with sophisticated profile with highly precise dimensional tolerances. The process is applicable to both ferrous and non-ferrous materials such as stainless steel, titanium and titanium alloy, nickel alloy and so on.
