A UK (Scottish) company specialising in manufacturing timber blocks for constructing garden beds and other features is looking for distributors.
The wooden blocks are made with sustainably sourced timber. The key products range from bespoke retaining walls to raised beds. The company use slow grown pine and do not use wood containing the heart of the tree. This gives the highest quality timber on the market for building in gardens. The timber is pressure treated with a water based preservative which fixes in the cells of the timber when it dries. This means that the product will last for 20 years and possibly longer, depending upon the ground conditions. The blocks are light, easy to carry and all the parts fit into an average car. To build the feature there is no need for foundations or cement and only a few tools are required including a hammer. This makes the feature quick and easy to build as there is no waiting for anything to dry.
There are small wedges, which are used to fix the blocks together, manufactured from recycled plastic by a social enterprise based in the UK. There are also two steel components used for the structures which are again sourced in the UK. In essence it's "Lego" for your garden.
The company's smaller products are mainly targeted at the DIY home owner market, but they also undertake projects of larger scale which they design and construct themselves. Some recent examples include a 300 tonne rooftop installation with over 150 corners for student accommodation in north London and the creation of a 300m² wild flower meadow in the EU's largest shopping centre adjacent to the Olympic stadium in Stratford.
The company is successful and currently involved in gardening work projects throughout the UK. It is now looking to increase international activity through distributor agreements with potential partners having knowledge of the garden/construction industry.
The company has designed a garden landscaping product. The patented system enables anyone to create garden structures easily and effectively. There are 5 key timber brick sizes which can be used in different combinations to create any shape or size structure for garden use. All the timber is certified for organic growing, Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) accredited and all sourced from within 50 mile radius of the company's sawmill in the north of Scotland.
Other materials used by the company are recycled and sourced from a social enterprise.
The company is looking for distributors with knowledge of the garden/construction industry. Experience and contacts in the DIY (Do It Yourself) retail trade would also be welcomed.
