A British furniture and product design brand based in London is looking for upholstery suppliers to manufacture padded meeting room chairs, armchairs and sofas, all for contract projects. They are seeking manufacturing agreements with businesses capable of producing products according to the company's design requirements.
The UK company was launched in 2011 in London with the intention of making furniture with clean aesthetics, but at affordable prices. The company is driven by the conviction that designers should use resources wisely, so has adopted cutting edge technology to reduce waste in the production process and improve efficiency. The company makes mostly wooden furniture using high quality material. All their products are made in the United Kingdom or other parts of Europe using FSC/PEFC certified timber. The company works closely with in-house design and development teams at leading retailers to develop the best products for their consumers and has sold their first range to John Lewis. Since then the brand has collaborated with retailers in Germany, France and USA.
In order to expand their production volumes, the company is currently looking for a manufacturer experienced in the production of upholstered furniture in fire retardant fabrics for office furniture, which can satisfy the demands of the British Standard requirements BS EN 16139: 2013 and BS 7176:2007. The typical supplier would be a medium to large sized furniture manufacture with documented experience of selling to foreign markets and already providing high quality upholstered office furniture in flame retardant fabrics, or able to source them. The company is likely to be in Central or Eastern Europe, though this is not a requirement. The size of individual orders is yet to be determined and will depend on the production capability of a potential partner organisation under the proposed manufacturing agreement.
