The client, a Dutch water technology SME, has developed a decentralized system for the purification of waste water without the use of chemicals. The product uses natural sources like vegetation, air and active sludge to eliminate contaminants from the water.
The client is looking for partners which actively identifies and acquires opportunities for the client in the partner's country or region.
Partnership could be franchise, commercial agency, joint venture, or license agreement.
The client, a Dutch SME in the water technology industry, has developed a decentralized system for the purification of waste water. The product is in particular suitable for urban areas and can be used for domestic waste water streams from only 4 persons to up to 500 individuals or industrial waste water.
The decentralized system is available in different product types in the field of sustainable water treatment:
Constructed wetlands (all sorts and kinds)
Individual Treatment units (compact systems)
The systems can clear almost all waste from the water. The purification process is based on a combination of aerobic and anaerobic processes, that occur parallel.
The compact treatment product has a very compact structure, composed of polypropylene or concrete tanks, in which the waste water is being pumped from one tank to the other and being aerated mechanically. By doing so, the waste water is being treated efficiently.
The whole system can be installed underground and requires only six to ten square metres for a single household waste water load.
After purification reusing the water is possible.
The client is looking for partners with a broad network of companies, organizations and governmental bodies. The client is looking for Joint Ventures, Franchise agreements and License agreements with companies which have experience in constructing waste water treatment facilities. At first construction will be done in cooperation with the partner, eventually the client envisions itself in an advisory position in which the partner is responsible for generating leads, construction and maintenance service.

Contrary to mainstream systems the client's product does not use any chemicals to clear the waste water to a high standard due to which a basic infiltration facility will be sufficient to dispose the treated water.
The small system can be adjusted to the volume of waste water streams, ranging from waste water streams from only 4 individuals up to 500.
As there is no need to use any chemicals to treat the waste water this system fits in a sustainable environment and saves also on expenses.
The client is in particular looking for two types of partners. Partners with experience in constructing waste water systems and on the other hand consultancy agencies.

The partner should be interested in adding a decentralized system for the purification of waste water to their product portfolio. At first the partner is expected to generate new leads and orders. Orders will be first carried out by client and partner. On the long run, partners are expected to construct systems themselves. The client will then only act as point of advise. For these types of partners the client is envisaging joint ventures, franchise agreements and license agreements. Specifics to each requirement are given below:
Commercial agency agreement and franchise agency agreement
For these types of agreement the client is looking for a long term relationship with a company who shares their ideas and corporate values. The client will teach, train and help the potential partner to start their own business in their country, but first the client wants to run some projects together to get to know each other.
Joint venture agreement
For this agreement the client and partner will synergistically work together on fixed projects. Client and partner share select investments per project.
With a license agreement the partner is allowed to use the clients knowledge and name for selling the clients products in the partner’s region. The client will train and help the partner where needed. In this type of agreement the client will have a limited budget in terms of investments in the partner´s company.
