A Dutch SME, specialized in (e)Health & Nutrition and Healthy & Active Ageing has developed lifestyle health indicators for digital communities. The program provides information on nutrition, healthy eating habits, exercise and the community. The company is looking to establish long term distribution agreements, commercial agency agreements or license agreements.
The client, a Dutch SME has developed lifestyle health indicators for digital communities. The eHealth Assistant is a portal where a participant formulates his/her health- and lifestyle goals and preferences in a personal profile, parallel to the social environment. It takes into account your personal preferences, background, goals, allergies and any medical conditions.
The program provides an overview of the health status of each individual participant with one single click of the mouse and it helps to make sensible choices. Therefore, it will help to create a healthy lifestyle that suits the participant’s preferences and personal situation.
The program is fully managed by the participant. The portal provides the participant a unique opportunity to take control of their own health, moving towards a (more) healthy lifestyle or
staying healthy with the help of easily accessible support. There will be a gradual awareness of the influence one's lifestyle has on their health. This awareness can be used to build the foundations for changes in behaviour. After the initial setup, the Personal Health Assistant supports and motivates the participant with a clear step-by-step plan for achieving the individual goals. Each step is full of information appropriate for the actual stage of the participant. Customized information, matched to the actual health status, personal preferences and cultural background are available, the responsibility of use is placed in the hands of the individual participant.
The use of internet allows the participant to share and compare the results with other participants. It creates the possibility to be a member of “local” communities aiming to increase the self-awareness. It is easily accessible and platform independent (computer, tablet, smartphone).
The client works together with strategic partners to share knowledge and share the experiences in order to establish the eHealth program. All participating parties such as knowledge institutions, universities, governments, hospitals and companies like telecom and content providers added their specific input to the program and are still lined-up for continuous monitoring and improvement.
The client wants to bring the program onto new markets for which it is looking to establish a long term agreement with parties interested in distributing or reselling the programme within the partner’s country. Potential agreements could be commercial agency agreements, distribution services agreements or license agreements.
Partners could be healthcare providers, such as physiotherapists, dietitians and fitness clubs; health insurance companies; organisations active in the field of lifestyle (elderly bonds); but also consultancy agencies. A certain degree of affinity with healthcare products would be an asset.
The solution is available in a Cloud-solution. The company prefers to work with local professional partners with a large network.
The program provides users with an innovative means to keep track of their health and through which the individual person owns their own data and decides whether or not to invite others into their (medical) files. It is an white label eHealth solution as a Social Media for Health.
The company is participating in EU-FP7 project about Geno-/Phenotype information and Health literacy. Therefore, all advice and information within the program is validated by specialists and experts in each covering section.
The program brings the participants’ health to their direct attention, and gives them information about their lifestyle habits. If there are questions a video/chat connection can be opened to the medical world to help the participant. Prevention is done by the participant who is guided by her/his own community and web service.
The potential partner could be health related organisations (healthcare providers, health insurance companies) or organisations related to a healthy lifestyle (elderly bonds). Consultancy companies are also invited to send in Expressions of Interest, yet affinity with healthcare products would be an asset.
Partners should have a broad network in the health sector in their country. Networks should be parties into B2C and/or B2B2C.
The partner will actively promote the program among potential customers (customers could be B2C companies, B2B companies, NGO’s (elderly bonds) etc.) through relevant means and be responsible for selling the program in their region or country. Moreover, the partner should provide (further) information and assistance to customers.
