The CONFEDERATION OF EMPLOYERS OF ALBACETE, (FEDA), legally identified as a non-profit making association was founded in 1977. This provincial, intersectoral organization which represents Albacete’s business people is a member of the Confederation of Employers of Castilla La Mancha (CECAM) http://www.cecam.es/, the Spanish Confederation of Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (CEPYME) http://www.cepyme.es/ and the Spanish Confederation Of Employers’ Organizations (CEOE) http://www.ceoe.es FEDA incorporates any employers’ organization or individual company meeting the statutory requirements which voluntarily requests it. The organization is set up to coordinate, represent, administrate, promote and defend business, general and common interests. FEDA has more than 15,000 member companies and integrates a total of 101 sectoral associations which represent all the province of Albacete’s employers. The member associations are from all different sectors: commerce, construction, transport, industry, metalwork, agriculture and services. FEDA negotiates collective agreements at provincial level which affect the immense majority of the province’s workers in the most representative sectors of the economy (commerce, metalworking, transport, etc,). As representative of the province’s business community it is responsible for representing Albacete’s business community before the central, regional and provincial administration. The organisation’s activities include consulting and information services concerning highly varied areas such as taxation, accounting, labour and international affairs, the environment, quality, risk prevention at work, grants and incentives for business activity, training, the legal defence of employers, etc. FEDA also holds informational conferences, distributes both its own and external publications and legal developments and organizes training activities aimed at employers and workers.
