The EU SME Centre, Eurochambres and the Croatian Chamber of Economy are happy to invite you to an online workshop on Cross-border E-Commerce (CBEC) and the role of CBEC Pilot Zones and the Opportunities for SMEs to take place on 21 May 2021 from 10:00-12:00 (Brussels time).
CBEC in China is becoming a more prominent selling channel for both imports and exports. In 2019, the market size of CBEC retail imports reached CNY 620 billion (20% growth y-o-y) and it is estimated to continue growing at this rate over the coming years. This selling channel is also an increasingly important tool for SMEs interested in accessing the global market because of a much lower entry cost associated with capital investment and human resources, as well as greater opportunities to expand customer base comparing to traditional international trade. The CBEC pilot zones play a key role in this selling model and they have become home to many well established e-commerce players: import / export e-commerce platforms, third-party payment platforms and logistic companies. This workshop has been designed for any SMEs looking into the Chinese market. Our expert will provide a comprehensive overview of the CBEC in China and will share practical notions to help SMEs start exporting goods into China.
