This mission is part of a series of activities carried out with China in the past years, as TCP for the relations with the third countries.
On the occasion of the EU-China Tourism Year (ECTY), from the 1st to the 9th of September 2018, Sicindustria organises a mission to China with a delegation of Tourism enterprises, in collaboration with the China EEN partners of EUPIC and EU SME Centre.
The companies involved (target group) are travel agencies, tour operators, hotels, tourism organizations, tourism services suppliers, interested in acquiring knowledge on the Chinese Tourist market and meet potential partners, local stakeholders and institutional bodies.
This is not a B2B event. It is a mission, so no matching platform is foreseen.
The mission includes three main destinations: Beijing, Chengdu and Shanghai.
In Bejing, companies will hold meetings with: local tourist companies, EU SME Centre, IPR China Helpdesk, Italian Chamber of Commerce in China, Italian Embassy representatives. They will also visit relevant locations.
In Chengdu, companies will meet EUPIC, local tourist operators and other stakeholders.
They will also participate in the Travel Trade Market (http://www.ttmchina.com.cn), where a specific "Sicindustria/Enterprise Europe Network" booth is foreseen to promote the Sicilian Tourist companies. The TTM is a unique event in the city of Chengdu which for three days brings together all the main traders of the Chinese, Asian and International Tourism Industry. The fair acts as a bridge between Asia and the rest of the world facilitating the collaboration between Asian main traders and the key players of International tourism industry. In addition, Sicindustria will support the Regional Department for Tourism, which will be present for the first time in Chengdu, and introduce the institutional representatives to the local stakeholders.
Some companies will complete their mission in Chengdu, while others will continue to Shanghai.
In Shangai, the delegation will meet ITA/ICE (Italian Trade Agency), local potential partners, airlines representatives, local law firms, e-commerce platforms representatives.
The target groups are companies and organisations from the Tourism Sector (Tour Operators, Travel Agencies, Destination Management Organisations, etc.).
The recruitment of companies was carried out through 3 lines of action: organisation of local event to present the mission; promotion through Sicindustria and other websites; promotion through social network, emails and EEN newsletter.
Applications have to be submitted by email, filling a registration form. Registration deadline was the 31st of July, with some flexibility.
