The European Commission and Normandie AeroEspace (NAE) will bring together, in a joint ENDR event, a wide range of participants from defence/security-related businesses, national and European authorities, knowledge institutions and cluster organisations.
The aims of this European Conference “Drones and counter Unmanned Aerial Systems for defence” is to present drones technology in a defence/security sector.
The event will provide business-to-business opportunities, drone-swarms demonstrations, a drone-related exhibition, and present opportunities offered by the various EU funding programmes, including the European Defence Fund.
The different topics presented are :
• Drones’ needs and future applications in the defence sector;
• Counter-UAS threats in defence operations: exploring detection and interception technological solutions;
• Drone-swarms for defence applications, state-of-the-art solutions and the technological challenges;
• Dual-Use and defence-related projects and future trends.
With the health crisis due to COVID, it is important that SMEs can diversify and attack new markets. This event will allow them to discover the activities of drones for defence and the countermeasure solutions of these drones. This will allow them to identify whether their technologies or know-how can be applied to the defence sector.
ENDR and NAE have been working together in the defence sector for many years and can therefore bring in important speakers such as major industrialists (Thales, SAAB, Defence Innovation Agency, NATO...) to present their activities and the trends in this sector. But this event will also allow the presentation of new solutions and technologies from SMEs through round tables and pitches.
We expect between 100 and 150 people and in case of health problems, it will be possible to organise this event digitally.
And thanks to the support of the European Defence Network and NAE, our aim is to make this event free of charge.
The support of Enterprise Europe Network, as a partner of this event, is very important to have a quality btob through an operational platform.
