The EU SME Centre and China Britain Business Council are pleased to invite you to participate in a hybrid workshop on 'Heritage Building Salon – Jiading New Area and Its Old Town Renew', which will take place on 2 July from 08:00-11:00 (CEST) | 14:00-17:00 (Beijing time).
This hybrid event (offline in Shanghai and online) will discuss the importance on fire and risk control over city renew projects.
According to the 14th Five-Year Plan of Shanghai, five new cities, including Jiading, Qingpu, Songjiang, Fengxian and Nanhui, should be constructed as independent comprehensive nodal city. The scope of Jiading New Area in this planning has also been greatly expanded. Jiading New Area will focus on developing five areas: Yuanxiang Lake Central Activity Area, East Industrial and Urban Integration Development Launch Area, Jiading Old Town Historical Area, North Science and Technology Station, and Hengli River Cultural Water Vine.
During the event, we hope to take Jiading New Area as an opportunity to explore how and what opportunities there are, for Chinese and EU experts and companies in the field of built environment to cooperate with each other, in the construction of the new town, in the opportunity of urban renewal, or in the planning of historic areas. Our roundtable discussion will also focus on bringing the views of experts from different fields to collision, hoping to trigger new thinking for you.
