The automotive industry has made significant strides over the last years and is poised to transform like never before. Digitalization in products, manufacturing processes, trade, supply chain management, and driving experience marks a revolution throughout the entire industry. This transformation requires automotive companies to not only adapt their approach in core processes but also align towards global digital policies and trends for business decisions.
The rapid development of digital technologies is reshaping the automotive industry as a whole on different levels. Digital technologies like the Internet of Things (IoT), Robotics or Artificial Intelligence are used to make the production process more efficient and intelligent. IoT/Big Data are crucial for building smart and connected vehicles.
Under the framework of the Indo-German Digital Dialogue by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) and the Indian Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) we are hosting an informative virtual workshop on the 29th June 2021 (14:00 to 15:40 IST / 10:30 to 12:10 CEST). The Dialogue is facilitated by the German Corporation for International Cooperation GmbH (GIZ).
The online exchange aims to bring together automotive companies from Germany and Engineering, R&D service providers from India to discuss the current digital future in the context of trends, best practices, and policies in both countries. It provides case studies of successful cooperation and the discussion will focus on how cooperation between automotive companies and Engineering, R&D service providers can be further strengthened through such platforms. Post this informative webinar, we will also be hosting virtual B2B networking sessions between Indian and German companies for collaborative projects.
This event is jointly organized by the Indian National Association of Software and Service Companies (NASSCOM), the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA), and Global Business Inroads (GBI). The session promotes the intensification of digital topics impacting stakeholders such as industry and government. It contributes to the establishment of internationally harmonised framework conditions for the digitalisation of the economy.
