Podim is a nonprofit platform founded in 1980 to change attitudes towards innovation. Based in Slovenia, Podim has evolved into the most influential startup & tech event in the CEE region, where innovation meets business opportunities and capital, as well as knowledge and experience. It is a key regional platform for enabling learning and networking in the most valuable and time-efficient way.
Podim aims at equipping founders and innovators with the right tools to solve the most meaningful challenges of the society.
This year, of course, most of the action will be online, even if it's officially a hybrid event. It's also a relatively exclusive event, as Podim wants to limit the number of attendees to 1,000, and the number of selected startups to 150, to put the emphasis on quality networking and meaningful meetings.
More than 400 startups have already applied, but there's another few days for startup founders to throw their virtual hats into the ring.
What's in it for the chosen ones? Exposure to more than 100 investors, business experts as well as potential partners and customers, and plenty of opportunities for one-on-one meetings with decision makers.
Matchmaking event will take place as part of the conference. Innovators and investors from different sectors (IT, energy, etc.) will have the opportunity to meet in pre-arranged short meetings.
Slovene Enterprise Fund, Ministry of Economic Development and Technology, European structural and investment funds, Startup Europe Networks and Start:up Slovenia are involved in co-organisation and co-financing of the event.
