Since the first edition in 1992, more than 700 participants from across all EU Member states have participated in this practical training course managed by the EU-Japan Centre.
The 5-day World Class Manufacturing training mission provides an in-depth analysis of Japanese manufacturing methodology such as Lean, Kaizen, TQC ...)

STRUCTURE OF THE TRAINING
The training course consists of lectures, workshops and visits to some of the world’s most advanced Japanese factories in order to understand the real "Gemba" (production site), talk directly with their production managers and observe the effective implementation of manufacturing methods.This course will give its participants a detailed understanding of current Japanese approaches that they can adapt to help their companies lean journeys.
PARTICIPANT PROFILE
The training targets EU managers, working in EU companies, with knowledge of WCM and an engineering background, deal participants have an important strategic role in shaping the company's best practice strategy or can influence the company's management of quality control / best practice / production systems.
The sector of activity is unimportant since the themes covered are equally applicable in non-manufacturing industries.
Please note: the number of allowed participants is limited to 25 therefore companies interested to the mission will have to fill in an application form and a selection process will take place to select the participating companies.
COSTS
The all organisation and its related costs such as workshop, transport to visited location, interpreters, etc... are covered by the EU-Japan Centre. (see the link for more details).
SME and clusters participants can benefit of a €600 grant, provided by the European Commission, through our organisation to help cover the flight and hotel costs that are to be covered by the participant.
