A Northern German producer of biobased ingredients for cosmetics is seeking contacts to suppliers of lactic acid, acetic acid or formic acid to further scale up production and to diversify supply chains. The organic acids need to be vegan and produced from non-fossil/bio-based sources. Concentration shall be 60-80%.
As sustainable procurement is of high importance for the company, the acids should ideally be based on conversion of organic side-streams (e.g. from paper industry) through biorefinery technologies. Nevertheless, also offers not based on side-streams will be considered. The company is currently scaling up production and will procure min 300t per year, with amounts expected to further increase from 2027 on. - Technical Specification or Expertise Sought
