The association is a national, non-profit and voluntary institution with over 150 years of uninterrupted service, recognized as one of the most respected firefighting organizations in Latin America. Established in 1851, it has grown into a robust national system that today includes more than 55,000 volunteer firefighters across all regions of Chile, ensuring presence and rapid response capabilities in both urban and rural areas.
Its mission is to safeguard lives, protect property, and preserve the environment, providing fire prevention, emergency response, rescue operations, and disaster relief in cases of earthquakes, floods, wildfires, and other natural or man-made catastrophes. The association plays a crucial role in national disaster risk reduction strategies, contributing to Chile’s reputation as one of the most disaster-resilient countries in the region.
In line with its modernization plan, the association is seeking international collaboration with suppliers and manufacturers of fire trucks, including standard firefighting vehicles, aerial ladder trucks, water tenders, and specialized rescue vehicles.
