A Danish SME active in the maternity and postpartum segment develops practical support products designed to improve comfort and well-being during pregnancy and after birth. It is currently developing a new line of compression knee socks intended to help reduce swelling, support blood circulation and relieve tired legs.
The SME is looking for an international textile manufacturing partner that can support the finalisation and production of the product. As the product is still under development, the partner should be able to provide technical input during the development, sampling and pre-production phases. The product should be made from a breathable, soft and skin-friendly elastic textile blend, such as bamboo/elastane or cotton/elastane, or an alternative material with comparable stretch, recovery and comfort.
The product must provide gentle but effective graduated compression, with the highest pressure at the ankle and decreasing pressure upwards. Consistent pressure graduation, precise tension, dimensional stability and accurate sizing across production batches are essential to ensure comfort and reliable product performance for pregnant and postpartum users.
The SME seeks a long-term supplier agreement with a manufacturer capable of supporting development, sampling, scaling and ongoing production. The cooperation should enable stable production for future sales through e-commerce and retail channels. The selected partner will be expected to maintain repeatable quality-control routines, provide transparent documentation and ensure stable lead times. - Advantages and Innovations

The Danish SME is looking for a textile manufacturer with proven experience and capability in specialised circular knitting and elastic compression garment production, with a specific focus on comfort and support suitable for pregnant women and postpartum recovery.
The requested partner should be able to provide the following capabilities:
Material: Production of compression knee socks using a breathable, skin-friendly, and soft elastic blend. The SME is currently considering bamboo/elastane or cotton/elastane. Ability to propose alternative materials with comparable stretch, recovery, breathability and comfort for sensitive skin.
Construction: The compression knee socks should have an anatomical sock format with gentle yet effective graduated pressure (highest at the ankle, decreasing upwards), designed to be easy to put on and take off for pregnant users. Features must include flat, smooth seams to prevent pressure marks or irritation.
Colour: Selected solid colours (standardised production).
Compliance & certifications (partner/company level): At company or production-site level, preference will be given to partners with recognised responsible production and supply-chain transparency standards, such as GOTS, BSCI, SEDEX or equivalent certifications.
Product-level safety/chemical compliance: The SME gives high priority to OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100-type compliance, or equivalent documentation, to ensure the product is completely safe for pregnant women, new mothers, and contact with newborn skin.
Working conditions: The partner should also be able to document good working conditions, for example through audits, codes of conduct and corrective action procedures where relevant.
Process: The SME is seeking a partner capable of providing development support, sampling, and pre-production approvals, repeatable quality-control parameters (tension testing, pressure graduation consistency, dimensional stability after washing), and stable lead times. - Stage of Development
