The consortium is seeking a EU SME or industrial company that has developed a functional sea-drone, unmanned surface vehicle or comparable autonomous maritime platform at minimum TRL 6.

A Latvian organisation experienced in European innovation and research projects is composing proposals under the Horizon Europe and similar project.
The planned cooperation will support the further development and market preparation of mature maritime technologies. The consortium is looking for a EU manufacturer that already owns, manufactures or has the legal right to further develop an existing sea-drone or unmanned surface platform.
The proposed platform must have reached at least Technology Readiness Level 6 and should therefore already exist as a functional prototype demonstrated in a relevant environment.
The project is not intended for the development of a completely new platform from the concept stage.
The selected manufacturer should be interested in activities such as:
* further technical development;
* system improvement and adaptation;
* validation and demonstration;
* preparation for industrialisation;
* improvement of business and investment readiness;
* preparation for wider European and Third country market uptake.
The exact development activities, cooperation structure and partner responsibilities will be defined jointly with the selected company.
Due to the commercially sensitive nature of the planned initiative, information concerning the project concept, consortium composition, technical approach and planned investments will not be disclosed publicly. The manufacturer should have:
* an existing sea-drone or unmanned surface platform;
* minimum TRL 6;
* ownership of, or documented rights to develop and commercialise, the technology;
* internal technical capacity to modify and improve the platform;
* a credible interest in commercial scale-up;
* capacity to participate in an EU-funded interregional investment project;
* willingness to contribute personnel, technical resources and the required co-financing.
The platform may be autonomous, semi-autonomous or remotely operated.
