- Short Summary
- A French SME currently involved in R&D activities is looking for a spiral paper core winding machine, new or used, to produce multi-layer tubes. The finished tubes must be 6-metre long and have a maximum diameter of 300 mm. The machine should be equipped with automated double-winding, gluing and cutting systems. Ideally, the machine should have a removable mandrel of different diameters and lengths. The SME is willing to find a partner to provide such a machine under a supplier agreement.

The French company has specialised in round wood parts manufacturing. The company operates in various sectors as sailing, construction and street furniture. In the framework of a current R&D project with the aim to produce spiral tubes on the basis of reels wood sheet strips instead of paper ones. The company is looking for a new or second-hand machine paper core winding machine in order to make trials.
Technical requirements for the machine:
- 30-layer unwinder
- PU hot melt adhesive system
- Double winding belt
- 6-metre long mandrel (minimum)
- Interchangeable mandrel
- Automatic cutting system
The machine inputs will be reels of wooden sheet 100mm wide, 300m long and 0.5mm thickness.
The tubes that the company plans to produce will have a maximum length of 6m and a maximum diameter of 300mm.
The French company is willing to find a partner able to provide this type of machine under a supplier agreement. - Technical Specification or Expertise Sought

-A gluing system must be provided for hot melt PU glue before winding.
