General information

Short Summary
A French SME manufactures bio-based thermal and acoustic insulation materials made from locally collected recycled textiles.
The company offers two product families:
• Loose-fill insulation for blowing applications
• Semi-rigid insulation coton and textiles
The company is looking for building material distributors and commercial agents in Spain to promote, distribute and prescribe its insulation solutions. Technical training and commercial support will be provided.
Full Description
The company is a French industrial SME. It manufactures bio-based thermal and acoustic insulation using recycled textiles and paper sourced from short supply chains.
The production site is designed for continuous industrial output and currently supplies more than 500 distributors in France. The company has strong expertise in circular economy processes and in the transformation of unsold textiles into certified insulation materials.

A loose-fill insulation made of 100% used recycled textile fibres, mainly cotton, locally collected. The product contains no added biocide, has very low VOC emissions (A+), and is suitable for attics, floors, ceilings and timber-frame walls.
Key technical characteristics :
• Composition : 92% recycled fibres, 8% Oeko-Tex certified fire-retardant
• Thermal conductivity : 0.041 W/m·K (EN 12667, 30% settlement)
• Density : 10–15 kg/m³ (blowing), 40–45 kg/m³ (injection)
• Reaction to fire : Euroclass E
• Settlement class : SH30
• Conditioning : 12.5 kg bags / pallets of 27 bags (337.5 kg)
• Low grey energy : approx. 6 kWh/m³

Semi-rigid panels made from recycled cotton/textile fibres (88%) and short polyester fibres (12%), intended for walls, roofs, ceilings and high-performance renovations. Breathable material with moisture regulation properties.
Key technical characteristics :
• Density : 30 kg/m³
• Thermal conductivity : 0.037 W/m·K (45–145 mm) / 0.038 W/m·K (200 mm – Cofrac certified)
• Acoustic performance : ≈ 43 dB in 45 mm with plasterboard
• Reaction to fire : Euroclass E
• VOC emissions : A+
• Formats : 1200 × 600 mm
• Thicknesses : 45 / 60 / 80 / 100 / 120 / 145 / 200 mm
• Durability : 50-year expected lifetime (manufacturer data)
Advantages and Innovations
Certified bio-based insulation with low carbon impact and short supply chains
One of the few industrial processes in Europe transforming unsold used textiles into certified insulation materials
Excellent thermal conductivity (0.037–0.041 W/m·K)
High acoustic absorption (≈ 43 dB) in standard wall systems
High summer comfort due to strong thermal lag
No added biocide, A+ VOC rating, healthy for installers and occupants
Strong production capacity and consistent quality control
Full traceability of sourcing and manufacturing
Alignment with EU climate, circular economy and low-carbon renovation strategies (RE2020, Green Taxonomy)
Differentiation vs. mineral insulation : comfort, sustainability, acoustic performance, indoor air quality
Technical Specification or Expertise Sought
Ability to store insulation materials in dry, covered, humidity-controlled areas
Compliance with EN European standards applicable to insulation
Knowledge of building materials distribution in Spain
Ability to train or coordinate training for professional installers
Commitment to promoting bio-based construction materials
Capacity to manage stocks and ensure regular order flows
