General information

Short Summary
A Greek SME, founded in 2015, provides design services and a silicon IP library for RF and mmWave telecom and radar systems. It seeks partners to leverage its expertise and products. The company offers design services for new solutions or existing IP, enabling the creation of transceivers, converters, ADCs, DACs, beamformers, and analog blocks with frequencies up to 100 GHz in CMOS/SOI and BiCMOS technologies.
Full Description
Specialized in RF and mmWave IC design, this Greek (Athens-based) fabless semiconductor company provides cutting-edge silicon solutions and design services for wireless silicon integrated transceivers, RADAR sensors and antenna beamforming systems.

The company’s customers span from tier-1 players to stealth-mode start-ups across a range of market sectors, including telecom, SATCOM, automotive, and IoT. In tight collaboration with customers’ internal teams, highly integrated microelectronic solutions have been delivered extending from prototyping to production turnkey solutions, enabling the translation of ideas into working silicon realities.

The company delivers silicon breakthroughs for Active Electronic Steering Antennas (AESA) for 5G and 6G, SATCOM and RADAR. This has been achieved by combining optimal system architecture and calibration methodologies, with innovative mmWave circuit and packaging design techniques, offering unique blending of performance and overall recurring cost.

The company offers an extensive silicon IP library and silicon-proven designs, providing a strong and competitive advantage in microelectronic solution development for wireless telecommunications, RADAR sensing and other applications. For example some of the company’s silicon-proven IP include the following examples:

- A CMOS high performance X-band (8-10 GHz) fractional-n PLL with integrated VCO and loop filter and FMCW capability, achieving a phase noise of -120 dBc/Hz @10 GHz and 1 MHz offset.

- A Ka-band (24-31 GHz) 8-channel TDD agile beamformer, supporting orthogonal polarization, a phase rotation with a 5.6o step, and integrated power detectors.

- A Ka-band (24-33 GHz) BiCMOS direct conversion transceiver-up/down converter with LO leakage compensation, fully-differential low-pass filters with adjustable cut-off frequency and integrated power detector.

The above can be combined on a single board to create a complete Ka-band radio unit. Evaluation and development boards with a GUI are available for these ICs.

Specialties:
RF & mm-Wave radio IC design, Wireless transceivers and PLLs, AESA/beamforming chips for 5G, SATCOM, and RADAR.
Advantages and Innovations
The company has extensive experience, with numerous successfully taped-out ASIC designs operating up to 100 GHz under its belt, many of which are under production by its clients. Several of the company’s silicon IP up to 100 GHz is tape-out ready and can be readily used in new designs and SoCs. The company’s BiCMOS Ka-band transceiver/Up-Down converter, CMOS X-band PLL and CMOS Ka-band 8-channel beamformer, offer all front-end capabilities required to create a product for mmWave 5G and other applications. These silicon-proven IPs are available as design files, but also as ICs and in evaluation and development boards with extensive datasheets and GUI available. This allows potential partners, customers and collaborators to evaluate the company’s capabilities and the functionality of existing IP offerings.
