General information
- Short Summary
- The main objective of this proposal is to provide solutions of digital technologies by developing and commissioning product(s) with a pilot application to process, operate and analyze data for ensuring IoT Digitalization of the machines and monitoring conditions in the operational areas within maritime facilities. The solutions will be site proven by commissioning for determination and reduction of energy consumption and carbon emissions of Welding Machines & Cranes in Shipyards and Ports.
- Full Description
- Development of uninterrupted communication solutions will be crucial for the setup of highly available smart sensor networks & gateways. Edge Computing and decentralized intelligence for IoT Data collection and processing will be applied for developing smart decision support mechanisms through analysis via artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms. These solutions will be surely adaptable for acquiring and exchanging life-cycle data of manufacturing assets and tracking components, materials, and other logistics elements to improve the operational efficiency in EU manufacturing and supply chains (e.g. addressing and implementing the design criterias according to the industrial standards for Integration with digital design patterns & libraries and upcoming EU initiatives like the Digital Product Passport or the Manufacturing Data Spaces).
- Advantages and Innovations
- While investigating methods and processes for determining and monitoring energy & carbon footprint (EXI, KPIs, etc.), IoT tags will be ensuring the traceability of energy consumption and carbon emissions in operational processes. By establishing agile and highly secure IoT Solutions & Mesh networks for gathering the lifecycle data in maritime manufacturing & operational environment, an extendable system will be realized that can be adapted for different value adding applications like predictive maintenance (to be implemented by locating & detecting unusual conditions of the machinery & equipment that can also enhance performance and safety by notifying alerts and anomalies in the environment.)
