An Austrian company offers products and services for drinking water and wastewater management, industry and environmental technology. In addition to this long-standing field of activity, the company has expanded its portfolio with a further leak detection device based on its extensive experience in the field of leak detection.
The newest innovative product is a leak detection device for use on all types of flat roofs. Precise location of leaks is possible with the product without time-consuming preparations (e.g. removal of the gravel in the test area). The roof scan is an innovative electromagnetic leakage measuring system for the precise location of leaking areas on all types of roof surfaces and structures, including cold and warm roofs, inverted -, green -, trafficable - and gravelled roof.
The efforts of preparation are very low. To carry out the test you need the correctly attached counter electrode, which can be used to establish a voltage circuit to the electronics, and sufficient water to moisten the test area. Based on the principle of the electrical conductivity of water, this technology enables efficient leakage detection on every kind of roof surfaces.
Testing is carried out by simply driving over the roof with the measuring trolley. The probe mounted on the measuring trolley is primarily used for surface testing. If the leaking area has been detected in the course of the area test, this is clearly indicated in the measuring program.
In order to locate the defective area more precisely, it is possible to carry out a point location of the leakage. The probe of the measuring trolley can be detached and used as a hand probe. With the hand probe you can easily detect the leakage with pinpointing accuracy even in areas that are difficult to access.
Compact design of the electronic module in combination with a modern tablet consequently form the basis for precise measurements. Measuring data can already be viewed on the roof in real time. On the other hand, subsequent evaluation of the tests is also possible at any time through the integrated software. The integrated software delivers the test data in real time to the display and also offers the option of exporting test protocols as PDF files for in-house reporting.
The practical design makes testing easy and efficient. All components and any accessories can be easily and safely stored in the transport box supplied. The device can be extended with useful add-on parts in just a few simple steps. These additional systems make it possible to check for leaks even in places that are difficult to access, e.g. under photovoltaic systems, or to carry out point detections for weld seams or roof penetrations quickly and efficiently.
It differs from other products on the market not only in the minimal preparation required for the measurement and the practical log export function, but also in particular in the fact that it can be used simply and easily on all types of roofs.
