General information
- Short Summary
- A leading specialist manufacturer from Singapore focuses on quality products including insulated fire shutters, blast mitigating and blast resistant shutters and storm shutters. The company is looking for business partners to sign commercial agreements for marketing, distributing and selling the shutters in Europe in commercial, industrial and public sectors.
- Full Description
-
The company specializes in the design, manufacture, and installation of a wide range of industrial and commercial doors and shutters and provides solutions for various industries, including:
- Industrial: Factories, data centres, warehouses, and high-security facilities.
- Commercial: shopping malls, office buildings, retail stores.
- Public Infrastructure: Airports, hospitals, and government buildings.
The company's products are designed to comply with international safety standards, including fire safety, blast mitigation, blast resistance, and weather protection. Therefore, their products are suitable for projects that require advanced safety features, such as high-risk industrial sites and government buildings. The company also focuses on energy-efficient and sustainable solutions, developing doors and shutters that offer insulation benefits and reduce energy consumption.
Insulated Fire Shutters
In a fire situation, a deployed fire shutter can turn red-hot when subjected to the full force of the flames and intense heat can radiate from the shutter curtain. This radiated heat is capable of igniting combustible materials that may be stored on the other side of the shutter, allowing the fire to spread. They developed and patented an insulated fire shutter that employs unique and very low conductive bridges between the front and rear steel slat shells to drastically reduce heat transmission in the event of a fire, and is tested to BS EN 1634-1 standard.
Blast Mitigating and Blast Resistant Shutters
Its patented blast mitigating shutter was developed to protect vital installation/buildings such as power station, water supply plants and embassies against sabotage using explosives and also the envisaged worldwide demand from oil and gas, and other hazardous industries.
Conventional roller shutters can become hazardous debris in a blast situation and this often occurs in oil and gas facilities which experience accidental release of flammable material resulting in a vapour cloud explosion. To mitigate this hazard, they developed a blast-resistant shutter in consultation with ABSG Consulting Inc. of USA. Their Blast Mitigating Shutter is a patented product and the design approach was to allow the shutter to plastically deform under blast pressure and progressively arresting the moving components of the curtain. These components are made up of elements that are interconnected to prevent them from becoming debris. The basic concept is similar to their storm shutter where the curtain behaves like a pliable and flexible net.
Blast Mitigating Shutter has been tested to be capable of achieving limited damage in response to a blast load with peak pressure 75 kPA and peak impulse 1050 kPa-ms; whereas Blast Resistant Shutter has been tested to be capable of achieving limited damage and be fully retained in response to a blast load with a peak pressure 40 kPA and peak impulse 500 kPa-ms.
Storm Shutters
Conventional wind resistant shutters rely on a rigid load transmission to restrain the shutter curtain under wind pressure and eventually transferring the load onto a building’s structure or substrate that were not designed for such purpose. Their Storm Shutter is a patented product that relies on a horizontal lattice formation to resist wind forces. The shutter curtain is formed by double-walled cavity slats and each slat has two horizontal steel rods in its cavity, running across the entire length of the slat. The ends of each rod are fitted with eyelets that sleeves over vertical steel cables to form a pliable lattice, working like a flexible net that allows the shutter to cushion, absorb and deflect wind forces. The Storm Shutter was tested for its capability to withstand pressures from wind speeds in excess of 200 km/h (125 mph), like those from severe storms such as Category 3 Hurricanes. - Advantages and Innovations
-
The company offers a range of specialized shutters that provide critical protection in different high-risk scenarios. Their Insulated Fire shutters protect against fire hazards, their Blast-resistant shutters mitigate the effects of explosions, and their Storm shutters shield properties from extreme weather conditions. These solutions not only ensure safety but also provide peace of mind and compliance with safety standards.
Insulated Fire Shutters:
-Enhanced Safety: Designed to withstand and delay the spread of fire and heat for a specified time (typically 1 to 4 hours), providing crucial time for evacuation and minimizing property damage.
-Heat Containment: Prevents the spread of flames and heat from one area to another, reducing the risk of injury or fatality.
-Automatic Activation: In the event of a fire, these shutters can be integrated with fire alarm system to close automatically, ensuring immediate action.
-Durability: Made with robust materials that are designed to resist high temperatures and wear and tear over time, making them long-lasting.
Blast Mitigating and Blast Resistant Shutters:
- Protection Against Explosions: Engineered to withstand high levels of pressure from blasts, reducing the impact on buildings and people inside.
- Shock Wave Absorption: Designed to absorb and disperse blast energy, reducing structural damage and protecting assets.
- Minimizing Collateral Damage: Prevents flying debris and shrapnel from entering the building, reducing injury and damage.
Storm Shutters
-Protection Against Extreme Weather: Provides a strong barrier against high winds, flying debris, and rain during storms and hurricanes, safeguarding the building and its occupants.
- Increased Durability: Built with strong, weather-resistant materials, these shutters are designed to withstand the harsh conditions without warping or breaking.
-Reduced Risk of Damage: Helps minimize structural damage caused by storms, protecting doors, and other vulnerable parts. - Stage of Development
