A Swiss organisation aims to enlarge the offerings of more ethical and sustainable consumer goods. It has created an e-commerce platform which gathers suppliers of climate-neutral and eco-friendly materials, components and parts to offer manufacturers sustainable and eco-responsible alternatives for the production of their products.
The Swiss NGO seeks manufacturers, artisans, and factories in Europe or in neighbouring countries also in order to reduce the environmental impact of goods transport producing:
• Handbags: all types, from everyday totes to luxury handbags.
• Leather goods: wallets, belts, cardholders, and other small accessories.
• Watches: including watch straps and cases made from eco-responsible materials.
•Travel accessories: luggage tags, passport holders, and travel organizers.
• Stationery: notebooks, planners, and pen cases.
• Office supplies: desk organizers, document holders, and laptop sleeves.
• Home decor: decorative trays, picture frames, and luxury storage boxes.
These products should be made from eco-responsible materials, ensuring they meet high standards of social responsibility and climate neutrality, using:
• vegan leathers (such as plant-based or mushroom leather)
• precious metals sourced from Europe or recycled (circular economy),
• crystals of European origin.
A list of verified suppliers is available thanks a new e-commerce brand, focused on eco-responsible products and which has attracted tens of thousands of customers.
The goal is to make these eco-materials available to European manufacturers as an alternative they can integrate in existing products or new products line. Collaboration with material suppliers might be necessary to meet production requirements.
The manufacturers, artisans, factories should:
- be able to work with vegan leathers, European-origin precious metals, and crystals, ensuring high quality and durability.
- have experience in collaborating on new designs that meet specific environmental and social responsibility criteria.
- have the capacity to scale production to meet the demands of an expanding e-commerce platform.
- have the knowledge of sustainable production practices and compliance with relevant environmental standards.
