General information

Short Summary
A Romanian NGO active in rural cultural and artistic development seeks international partners and a project coordinator to form a consortium under the Erasmus+ March 2026 call. The project addresses the loss of cultural identity and social estrangement in rural communities and proposes participatory artistic interventions that explore rural history, memory, and community contributions during 20th-century totalitarian regimes. Cooperation will be based on research and development agreements.
Full Description
The Romanian association is a cultural NGO with solid expertise in photography, anthropology, culture, education, and heritage. The association aims to revitalise rural areas by promoting their ethnocultural richness and facilitating access to artistic and cultural activities.

Previous projects have successfully involved young people in craft-based and artistic workshops (e.g., photography, candle making) which led to local exhibitions, strengthening community participation and interest in cultural expression.

The project proposed by the Romanian NGO aims to focus on the erosion of cultural identity in rural areas, as well as the estrangements and social fragmentation which resulted from the lack of a historical memory, in countries which experienced 20th-century totalitarian regimes.

To further develop the project and prepare a successful Erasmus+ project application, the Romanian association seeks to identify international project partners experienced in cultural, historical and artistic community work. Because the Romanian NGO is a newcomer to Erasmus+ projects, both a project coordinator and project partners are sought. Potential partners should be organizations from European countries having experienced communist/totalitarian regimes in the 20th century.

Cooperation will be established under research and development agreements.
