General information
- Short Summary
-
Slovenian company with 75 years of tradition would like to fire-test and certify their building furniture for the Australian market. They would like to get their products approved according to the Australian standard AS 1530.8.1:2007 or make the products suitable for requirements of the AS3959 standard.
Transferring (without testing) of the fire resistance class EI30 to the BAL 40 resistance class would be an even better option.
The company seeks cooperation through commercial agreement. - Full Description
-
The well-known Slovenian company, specialised for building furniture (mainly doors and windows) was founded back in 1948.
Since then, they have expanded and modernised their products. They now also offer modern sliding doors and panoramic windows. They have also expanded their market(s) and would like to offer their products in the Australian market. For this reason, they would like to test and certify their products to be resistant against bushfires, or gain certificate via system pass from EI30 certificate according to SIST EN 13501-2:2008+A1:2009. They believe that the Australian standard AS 1530.8.1:2007 or AS3959 would be the correct standard for this purpose.
It would be even better if the partner could transfer the certificate of the tested and gained fire resistance EI30 according to the SIST EN 13501-2:2008+A1:2009 standard (already tested), to the BAL 40 resistance according to the AS 1530.8.1:2007 standard.
The company would like to find an accredited organisation that can test the company’s products against bushfires and also issue the certificate directly or if they can (at least) issue the documents/tests with which they can then file for certification.
The company seeks cooperation through a commercial agreement. - Sustainable Development Goals
- Goal 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure
- IPR description
-
The partner should have been accredited to test (and possibly certify) building furniture according to Australian standard for bush fire resistance AS 1530.8.1:2007 or AS3959.
Even better option: transfer of EI30 certificate, according to the SIST EN 13501-2:2008+A1:2009 standard (already tested), to the BAL 40 resistance according to the AS 1530.8.1:2007 standard.
Partner Sought
- Expected Role of a Partner
-
Type of Partner Sought: organization that can provide tests (and possibly certification) for building furniture according to Australian standard AS 1530.8.1:2007 or AS3959.
Even better option: EI30 testing according to the SIST EN 13501-2:2008+A1:2009 standard (already tested) or to the BAL 40 resistance according to the AS 1530.8.1:2007 standard.
The desired outcome of this cooperation would be a commercial agreement according to which the Slovenian company receives the certification for their products or (at least) the documents that would lead to certification. - Type and Size of Partner
