General information
- Short Summary
- A Spanish biotechnology company with a microbial inoculant already on the market seeks biogas and biomethane plant operators, engineering companies, distributors and strategic investors to validate the product under real operating conditions and support international deployment. Cooperation is envisaged through commercial or investment agreements, with shared trial protocols, operational data and market-development activities.
- Full Description
-
A Spanish biotechnology company has developed a proprietary dry microbial inoculant for the start-up, reactivation and periodic reinforcement of anaerobic digestion. The product is already on the market and can be applied directly to existing digesters without infrastructure modification.
The company is seeking international partners to expand real-scale validation across different plant configurations and feedstocks and to accelerate market entry outside Spain. Priority applications include agricultural and industrial biogas and biomethane plants, livestock operations, co-digestion facilities and installations treating manure, fibrous residues, agro-food by-products or wastewater-related organic streams.
The cooperation should generate robust before-and-after operational evidence under an agreed monitoring protocol. The company is particularly interested in partners able to provide access to operating plants, technical coordination and sufficient baseline and post-application data to assess methane productivity, process stability and operational response.
Commercial partners may also support market development, distribution or integration of the inoculant into plant optimisation services. Strategic investors with experience in industrial biotechnology, renewable gases, circular economy or environmental technologies are sought to support production scale-up, formulation and process optimisation, expanded real-environment validation and international commercial deployment.
The Spanish company would provide the product, application protocol, technical support and data interpretation. Cooperation may take the form of a commercial agreement for industrial validation and market deployment or an investment agreement linked to production and international scale-up. - Advantages and Innovations
-
The requested cooperation builds on a product that is already on the market, proprietary microbiological know-how and controlled biochemical methane potential testing under VDI 4630 principles.
The application does not require process shutdown or infrastructure changes. The company uses a diagnosis-based protocol and plant-specific monitoring instead of making universal performance claims, which supports technically credible validation and responsible market entry. - Technical Specification or Expertise Sought
-
Industrial partners should operate, own, design, service or have authorised access to one or more anaerobic digestion plants. A designated technical contact and compliance with the plant safety and operating procedures are required.
For validation, the partner should be able to provide a representative operating baseline and agreed data before and after application. Desirable parameters include digester working volume, operating temperature, pH, hydraulic retention time, feedstock composition, feeding rate, total and volatile solids, organic loading, biogas volume, methane concentration and relevant stability indicators such as volatile fatty acids, alkalinity or ammonia when available.
The partner should be willing to follow an agreed application and monitoring protocol over a period sufficient to assess biological response, normally several months, and to review results jointly. Commercial partners should have established access to biogas, biomethane, agro-industrial or wastewater markets. Strategic investors should bring relevant scale-up, industrial or market-access expertise in addition to capital. - Stage of Development

Partner Sought
- Expected Role of a Partner
-
A plant operator would host and coordinate a monitored industrial application, provide the agreed baseline and follow-up data, appoint a technical contact and participate in joint interpretation of the results. The Spanish company would provide the inoculant, plant-specific application guidance, monitoring framework and technical analysis.
An engineering company, plant service provider or distributor would identify suitable plants and customers, support local coordination and develop the market in an agreed territory or segment. The Spanish company would provide supply, training, technical documentation and application support.
A strategic investor would support production scale-up, process and formulation optimisation, further validation and international commercial deployment. Preference will be given to investors or industrial groups able to contribute sector knowledge, pilot access, manufacturing capabilities or routes to market. - Type and Size of Partner
