The Spanish research centre, a private non-profit foundation, focuses on advancing computer science and artificial intelligence. Engaging in over 75 European, national, and regional reserarch and development projects, it applies cutting-edge technologies like AI, bioinformatics, distributed ledgers, cybersecurity, IoT, and quantum computing across diverse sectors, including industry 4.0, e-health, transport, precision agriculture, fintech, and smart cities. Collaborating with 275+ entities globally, it has become a key reference centre nationally and internationally.
The centre has the necessary organisational, human, and material resources to carry out its R&D&I activities, and any organisation or company that carries out its activities in Spain can benefit from its services. Its governing body, the foundation's board of trustees, has most companies among its trustees, which, in close collaboration with its advisory council, made up of experts from the business world and other research organisations (universities and technology centres), has enabled it to efficiently transfer the results of its R&D&I to private companies, with subcontracting accounting for more than 50% of its annual income.
The Spanish center is looking for partners to participate in HORIZON-CL5-2024-D6-01-06 to optimize multimodal network and traffic management, use of infrastructure data, passenger mobility and freight transport, to conclude research and development cooperation agreements.
The center needs industrial partners specialized in logistics and transport to validate use cases.
Outstanding results are expected, including the creation of value chain ontologies, trustworthy AI models, blockchain, cutting-edge technologies, integration with FIWARE and open publication of the framework. These results will drive improvements in the safety, sustainability, and efficiency of transport services, in line with Industry 5.0 principles.
The official deadline of the call is 5th September, and the research center accepts expression of interest until 1st of November. The estimated duration of the project will be 3 years. - Advantages and Innovations
