A design-focused start-up from Sweden seeks a European textile manufacturing partner to produce reversible mats used as backgrounds for detail and flatlay photography. The mats are made by bonding two different fabrics, finishing them with an overlock seam, and preparing them for use in a rollable format. Each mat measures 49 cm × 69 cm and includes a small neutral tag sewn after hemming. The product is intended to provide photographers with durable, reusable and aesthetically consistent surfaces.
The initial collection consists of three reversible combinations that imitate the look and feel of suede, velvet and linen. Production volumes for the first series are estimated at 50–70 units per colour combination. The client aims to introduce a sustainably produced, long-lasting alternative to currently available photographic backgrounds, which often offer limited durability or inconsistent quality.
A cooperation is sought to secure reliable manufacturing within Europe, ensure stable production capacity, and enable future scaling. A supplier agreement is the preferred partnership type, as the client intends to source manufactured mats directly from an experienced producer. Depending on the manufacturer’s capabilities, cooperation may also include support with packaging or optional direct fulfilment to EU customers.
