A Swedish company specialising in veterinary radiology, radiation safety and product development is seeking a manufacturing partner for reusable positioning straps used during diagnostic X-ray examinations of dogs, cats and rabbits.
The requested products are designed to support hands-free or reduced-holding radiography by securing animal limbs to an X-ray table. This can reduce the need for veterinary personnel to manually hold animals during X-ray exposure and thereby support safer working practices.
Two related positioning straps are required. The first is an approximately 20 mm wide and 1 m long strap made from soft, durable, low-stretch elastic webbing with a soft loop surface on one side. It includes a rectangular plastic loop at one end for threading, adjustment and fixation. The second is an approximately 20 mm wide and 1.5 m long continuous strap made from the same type of material, with a soft loop surface on one side and no plastic loop or other hardware. Both products are designed to attach to hook fastening tape positioned around the edge of an X-ray table.
The products have already been developed and are commercially available. The Swedish company is therefore seeking manufacturing capacity rather than initial product development. Detailed specifications and reference samples can be provided to selected partners.
The desired cooperation is a long-term supplier relationship, potentially covering one or both product categories. The cooperation may start with prototype or pre-production samples for evaluation. Following approval, the selected manufacturer is expected to produce the straps consistently according to the agreed specifications and support recurring production as sales develop in Sweden and other European markets. - Advantages and Innovations

The partner should be able to manufacture customised low-stretch elastic positioning straps according to specifications and reference samples supplied by the Swedish company.
For the X-ray positioning strap, the required construction is approximately 20 mm wide and 1 m long, using soft, durable, low-stretch elastic webbing with a soft loop surface on one side and a rectangular plastic loop at one end. The strap must provide limited elasticity and secure fixation and must be compatible with the hook fastening tape used on veterinary X-ray tables.
For the long positioning strap, the required construction is approximately 20 mm wide and 1.5 m long, using the same soft, durable, low-stretch elastic webbing with a soft loop surface on one side. No plastic loop or other hardware is required. The strap must provide limited elasticity and sufficient controlled tension for positioning the hind limbs during ventrodorsal hip radiography.
For both products, the material and construction should withstand repeated fastening, adjustment and removal without loss of functional properties. The straps must be washable at up to 60°C and tolerate cleaning with alcohol-based surface disinfectant and/or soap solution.
The manufacturer should preferably be able to produce prototype or pre-production samples before serial production. The samples will be evaluated for dimensions and construction, elasticity, fastening strength, functionality, durability, cleanability and suitability for use during diagnostic X-ray examinations. - Stage of Development

The company is seeking a manufacturer or contract manufacturer experienced in elastic hook-and-loop products, elastic webbing, technical textiles, fastening straps or similar customised textile products.
Experience in medical, rehabilitation, veterinary or professional positioning products would be an advantage but is not essential. The partner should have the manufacturing capability to produce one or both strap types according to supplied specifications and reference samples, provide prototype or pre-production samples, maintain consistent product quality and support recurring production.
The company is open to working with one manufacturer for both products or with separate manufacturers for the two product categories.
