A Swedish company specialising in veterinary radiology, radiation safety and product development is seeking long-term manufacturing partners for positioning products used during diagnostic X-ray examinations of animals.
The products are designed to help position dogs, cats and rabbits accurately and stably during radiography. By reducing the need for veterinary personnel to manually hold animals during X-ray exposure, the products support safer working methods and can help reduce occupational exposure to ionising radiation.
The company is seeking manufacturers for two established product categories: positioning sandbags in several sizes and weights, and positioning cradles for dogs, cats and rabbits in different sizes. The products have already been developed and are commercially available. Drawings, dimensions and product specifications are available, and the manufacturing partner is not expected to carry out the initial product development.
The positioning sandbags contain sand and have a durable, smooth and liquid-resistant polyurethane outer material, or an equivalent material, together with an inner liner or equivalent secondary containment layer to prevent leakage. The products are intended for repeated use and must withstand cleaning, disinfection, handling and transport in a clinical environment.
The positioning cradles consist of a supportive foam core or equivalent material with a durable polyurethane outer cover. They must provide stable support for animals during radiography while remaining lightweight and practical to handle. Alternative foam and covering materials may be considered if they provide the required support, hygiene, durability and radiographic properties.
The requested cooperation is intended to establish a stable, long-term manufacturing and fulfilment arrangement. The partner would manufacture the products according to agreed specifications, initially provide prototypes or pre-production samples for evaluation, and subsequently support recurring production. The partner would also handle individual order fulfilment by packing and shipping finished products directly to the Swedish company's customers, primarily within the European Union.
The cooperation is sought as an outsourcing agreement because the manufacturing and fulfilment activities would be carried out by an external manufacturing partner as part of the company's business process. The partner should preferably be able to produce prototypes or pre-production samples before serial production. Samples will be evaluated for dimensions, construction, stability, functionality, durability, cleanability, liquid resistance, suitability for repeated disinfection and radiographic properties.
Following approval, the partner should be able to maintain consistent product quality and support recurring production with increasing volumes. The Swedish company is seeking a manufacturer or contract manufacturer able to produce positioning sandbags and/or positioning cradles according to established drawings and specifications.
The partner should have suitable production capabilities for polyurethane-coated textiles, sewn or sealed products, foam-based products, or comparable products. Experience with products requiring repeated cleaning and disinfection in professional or clinical environments is preferred.
The partner should be able to support the complete manufacturing process from production and quality control to packing and direct shipment. After receiving individual order and delivery information from the Swedish company, the partner should be able to prepare customer-specific shipments, dispatch them directly to customers primarily within the European Union, and provide shipment and tracking information.
The cooperation may be established with one manufacturing partner covering both product categories or with separate partners for the sandbags and cradles.
