A Turkish public institution operating in the field of education is preparing to join a Horizon Europe Cluster 3 proposal under the topic HORIZON-CL3-2026-01-FCT-05, “Enhancing the security of citizens against terrorism and lone-actor violence in confined spaces such as schools.”
The institution is currently involved in consortium-building activities and already has some project partners. However, additional R&D partners are sought to strengthen the consortium with complementary scientific, technical and operational expertise.
The planned project will focus on improving the safety, preparedness and resilience of schools and other confined educational spaces against terrorism-related threats, lone-actor violence and similar high-impact security risks. The project is expected to address prevention, early warning, risk awareness, emergency preparedness, crisis communication, response protocols, training and cooperation between educational institutions, security actors and relevant public authorities.
