Advantages & innovations

Cooperation plus value:
The client designs and manufactures a large percentage of its products at its facility in the UK to a high-quality standard. This consists of all of the Sports portfolio and a number of the Hospital range. It is the only UK company to achieve this. The company is ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 certified. Sports wheelchairs have been designed in association with players, coaches and various UK and global governing bodies involved in disability sport. This has helped create bespoke products for each sport that have been sold successfully in the UK and overseas. The following configuration exists for every sports wheelchair – • High-performance elite chairs. These are Made to Measure products that utilise the company’s Contour Body Mapping unique/patented system. Where other companies use a traditional tape measure our client has bespoke equipment that allows a customer to be measured within the system. Further information can be provided upon request. • Custom chairs, that can be ordered through a prescription form. A customer supplies their specific measurements for the chair to be built to their requirements.. • Entry level/Club wheelchairs. This allows a customer to choose from a selection of generic seat sizes for people to participate in sport. Materials used in the construction of the chairs include, high quality steel, Aircraft grade 7020 aluminium along with Titanium and Magnesium – i.e. the average weight of frame for a Badminton chair made from Magnesium = 2.5kg. An active ridged wheelchair is also available which has patented design qualities, such as a unique backrest and seating plate innovation. The backrest is designed to fold onto the frame and the seating plate prevents seat sag with regards to the cushion. High performance industry recognised Spinergy wheels are fitted on the majority of the sports and active wheelchairs.
