The company was born from the vocation and experience of an artisan baker from La Gomera (Canary Islands), who after many years of work and learning in a bakery, decided to undertake her particular business journey.
With the 90s just released, she installed a wood oven in her own home, in Alojera, and began making sweets and cookies at the request of those closest to her. Little by little, while the activity continues over time, she became a benchmark in the production of traditional pastry products in La Gomera.
Moment in which his son, with entrepreneurial training and first-rate work experience, decided to make a 180 degree turn in his professional life and in consensus with his mother, took the direction of the company, with the aim of consolidating the brand on the island of La Gomera and exporting to the rest of the Canary Islands, which are indeed the current markets of the company.
Nowadays, the company produces not only traditional pastry products, but also traditional Canary red and green sauces ("mojos"), marmalades, palm syrup and cheese ("almogrote"). It sells its products to importers or distributors (B2B), but also directly to final consumers (B2C).
The production capacity of the company is the following one (main products):
- 60.000 kg of Almogrote (cheese) per year;
- 50.000 kg of Canary sauce per year;
- 9000 l. of Palm Syrup per year.
The company is looking for European companies that will know the functioning of the market they are established in and how to promote its agri-food products in these European markets. It wants to find a partner that can introduce and distribute its products in supermarkets, hotels, tourist shops, restaurants, etc.
The company is looking for a partner (distributor or commercial agent) that can make sure that a good agri-food product can be promoted and distributed on a bigger scale. As producer it is ready for any type of demand at all. The company does not have any limit of production and it can assume the volumes that could be demanded.
