Danish supply agencies seeks innovative and high-quality supplier of roofing shingles

Established in 2012, this Danish company operates as a sales platform and wholesaler for B2B sales, selling various products for homes and gardens. One of the company's main focuses is to be the preferred supplier of certain key product groups of building materials for house construction.

The business started with a focus on concrete products, but over the years has added several other construction products like granite, insulation materials and metal products to their portfolio. They do not operate as a traditional agency as their business model is built on a close cooperation with their featured suppliers who regard them as their sales and logistic platform for entering the Danish building and construction market. In order to facilitate easier logistics for their clients the company has established warehouse facilities in central Denmark that the suppliers can make use of on a rental basis. This enables quick access to the full Danish market and the wholesaler network based on the control of the shipping process, which optimises the value chain for the suppliers.

Over the years, roofing felt and composite shingles have become a common roofing solution in Denmark. Product improvements and regulations have improved the overall quality level and the material now accounts for about 20% of the total roofing market. The main arguments for choosing new or refurbished shingle roof solutions include that they are easy to fit, less time consuming, and are much lighter than traditional tile or concrete roofs, requiring no construction changes in roof support structures.

As a result, the company is looking for new suppliers of high quality and CE-marked roofing felt / composite shingles from suppliers in Europe with the products to meet the European quality requirements and to be certified according to DS standards for sales in Denmark. The Danish market differs from warmer markets e.g. in southern Europe due to colder, damper and more windy climate conditions, which requires a higher national standard. The company is open to a number of different agreements, that meet the quality requirements but would prefer a simple supplier agreement.
