A family-owned Slovenian toolmaking company for all purposes with contemporary machines and more than 25 years of tradition offers its services of toolmaking through manufacturing or subcontracting agreements.

A Slovenian tool making company was established in 1994, is family owned and has currently 18 employees. The main business of the company is the development and production of tools for injection moulding of plastics, transforming and cutting of sheet metal as well as pressure casting. The company complies with the standard ISO 9001: 2015.
For new product development and tool design the company uses the 3D SolidWorks software package. When making tools and programming computer numerical control (CNC) machines MasterCam and Quapt software packages are used. The MasterCam software package uses 3-axis, 3 + 2-axis and 5-axis modules for simultaneous machining (milling, wire erosion).
In addition to toolmaking, the company offers services on individual machine tools.
They offer CNC services, such as two- and three-dimensional milling of minimum and maximum dimensions of 1,450 x 700 mm.
They also offer High Speed Cutting (HSC) at a Hermle machining centre. The rotational speed of the main spindle is 40,000 revolutions per minute. The machine can produce detailed shapes that are very important in tools and moulds. It can also produce copper and graphite electrodes.
The company also has a high grinding capacity for plain, round and jig grinding. Machines can perform surface grinding up to a size of 2,000 x 800 mm and cylindrical grinding up to 1,100 mm in length. They can grind tempered and non-tempered tool steels, sintered materials with a hardness of 60 HRc (Rockwell scale hardness) and Widia segments. All of the machines use corundum, Cubic Boron Nitride (CBN) and diamond grinding wheels for a variety of applications.
For wire eroding the Japanese machines FANUC are used. These machines offer the possibility of superfinishing up to six cuts, which can achieve a surface roughness of up to Ra = 0.16 μm.
In addition to the 0.25 mm cutting wire, they also use the 0.1 mm wire. Eroding machine operators are also specialized in oblique cutting. Special guideways and nozzles are used for cutting at 12 °, 30 ° or 45 ° angles. Workpieces up to 1,050 x 820 x 300 mm can be machined.
EXERON machines are used for the Diving Erosion Technology. Workpieces up to a size of 1,070 x 670 mm can be eroded with copper and graphite electrodes.
Tool shop also has a large stock of tool steels, such as E.g. W.No. 1.2312, 1.2343, 1.2379 and sintered Böhler high-speed steel materials. They can respond very quickly when customers need to repair their tools.
Company is already involved in international cooperation but would like to expand their business abroad via manufacturing or subcontracting agreements in terms of offering their production capacities to other manufacturers on contractors.

Advantages & innovations

Cooperation plus value:
The company has many years of experience in the field of tool making. The company is a valuable partner since it regularly establishes long-term contracts with key account companies from the Slovenian and German automotive industry. With the modern machinery park and through several cooperation projects with renown industry partners the company is at the state of the art in the field of tool making.

Partner sought

Cooperation area:
The company is looking for manufacturing agreements under which the company offers to manufacture tools for different sectors of industries. The aim of this type of cooperation is to establish a partnership in the frame of which the Slovenian company offers its production capacities to a company which has a need for tools and is looking for a manufacturer. The other possible way to cooperate is subcontracting under which the company is offering to become a subcontractor, i.e. it is willing to produce tools or metal parts. In the frame of this type of cooperation the company is looking for contractors interested to assign some of the obligations to the Slovenian company
