Summary

Summary:
Greek company active in the craft beer market offers fine-quality standard and premium brews. The company seeks commercial agents and retailers across Europe for commercial agency or distribution services agreements.

Description

Description:

Founded in Patras region, the Greek craft microbrewery has been providing the national market with traditional and innovative products since 2018.

The company utilises western Greece’s unique terrain, flora and agro-food markets to produce top-quality beer while respecting nature. Their lines include core, seasonal, dark, specialty brews, as well as more innovative ones, such as coffee brews, modern style and collaborative beers – beers conceived and manufactured by a group of brewers. Additionally, for their innovative products, the company employs the ingredients and production processes of other local or traditional alcoholic beverages to offer beer lovers avant-garde and divergent tasting experiences.

The company already offers around 65 product labels (about 12 permanent and the rest seasonal) available throughout Greece. They focus on the use of local ingredients and cooperation with local farmers. They recreate traditional recipes and experiment with innovative preparations using the reverse engineering technique. In the context of the circular economy, the company utilizes the by-products from the fermentation of malt. The solid waste is used for the production of biocompost and the produced carbon dioxide is channelled to a closed hydroponic system for the rapid growth of leafy vegetables (indoor farming).

The company has received top ranking for the Greek market by independent evaluators in internationally well-known databases of user-created reviews about beers and breweries (ratebeer.com, untapped.com).

The company is aiming now to expand their operations outside Greece starting cooperation with overseas partners. Under this context, they are looking for commercial agents and distributors in European countries willing to import and distribute the offered beer products within their internal markets. The desired types of collaboration are commercial agency agreement or distribution services agreement.

Advantages & innovations

Cooperation plus value:
Experimental brews that contain natural ingredients such as local wild flora, mycota–fungi, with potentially increased antioxidant properties because of the high antioxidant load of those ingredients. Adoption of traditional wine and cider production techniques for the delivery of unpasteurized and unfiltered brews with increased microbiota load. Wide range of seasonal brews, which utilise endemic ingredients supplied by local farmers and serve the company’s collaborative and sustainability-driven work ethics. Bottling of high aesthetic value. Innovative brews based on reverse engineering: on-demand study and recreation of the organoleptic qualities of other local traditional alcoholic beverages. Innovative production process: Employment of ancient vessels such as clay pots and amphoras for the production of beer and evaluation of the final product. Organoleptic evaluation will determine the possibility of “terroir” in beer. Microbiological analysis will evaluate the clay pots as microbial vessels, vessels that can keep a microbial load and used as inoculation vessel without the use of commercial yeasts. Environmentally conscious practices: use of artificially illuminated (low power LED) plants in enclosed environment so as to absorb carbon dioxide emitted during alcoholic fermentation and to reduce the carbon footprint of beer production.
