Summary

Summary:
A German SME develops customised HyperIntelligenceCards based on the leading technology of MicroStrategy. Data or business analyst (PhD)/experienced researcher in computer science or related discipline is sought within Society & Enterprise Panel of Individual Fellowships of Marie-Skłodowska-Curie actions. He/she should contribute to further design and develop the HyperCards, as well as enhance the intuitive user experience and data exploration.

Description

Description:

The German SME has several years of experience in the complete software development process across different industries, focusing on agile software development methods like Scrum and applying the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) for Lean Enterprises. The company is a MicroStrategy partner and is located near the European financial center Frankfurt am Main in Germany.

It develops customised HyperIntelligenceCards based on the leading technology of MicroStrategy. In a nutshell, the HyperCards are small reports, summarizing information on predefined attributes and KPIs, generating immediate additional insights during a web search or web reading without an additional mouse click.
The main idea of the customised HyperCards is to democratise the usage of fast insights and make it available to small and medium enterprises. The SME offers this solution over the web through a software-as-a-service (SaaS) approach. A how-to-get manual is available.

The company would like to hire a data or business analyst with a PhD or an experienced researcher (scientific worker) with several years of research experience in computer science or in a related discipline - mathematics, physics, engineering or economics, in the framework of the EU program Individual Fellowships: MSCA-IF-EF-SE (Society and Enterprise panel) of the Marie-Sklodowska-Curie actions.

The candidate should contribute to further design and development of the HyperCards, as well as enhancements of the intuitive user experience and data exploration. He/she should also focus on real-time information generation applying machine learning and cloud analytics methods.

The anticipated duration of the project is 2 years. The deadline of the call is 9th September 2020. The deadline for EoIs is 17 July 2020.

Advantages & innovations

Cooperation plus value:
There is a growing interest within the society for catching right information at a right time and taking relevant decisions during an online research or an online document reading. This information could be global news about involved business partners, a relevant relationship about a company or a product. The HyperCards provide the users with powerful know-how using peer comparisons, correlations or other connections within the entitites. Large corporations around the world are using specialized solutions for these purposes like the HyperCards developed by MicroStrategy, implemented on the top of an enterprise-own data warehouse for areas of controlling, finance or marketing. Small and medium-sized companies or the public sector do not use such systems and rely on individual time-consuming online research and a manual data matching process.
