It is the only multi-functional processing device in the world capable of processing both plastics and organic waste and is a cheaper alternative to incinerators and landfill. A Japanese company specialised in sub-critical water reaction equipment is looking for EU distributors to support the access in the EU market of its multi-functional organic matter disposal device.

The device is capable of completely processing flammable waste into feed, fertilizer, compost, bio-gas, soil conditioner etc. by means of adjusting temperature and pressure which causes hydrolysis reactions to occur.

The device is the only multi-functional processing equipment in the world capable of processing both plastics and organic waste. Even if the waste is rotten, it can be processed.

It can produce livestock feed in a short time frame from unusable lumber, pruned branches, and driftwood etc. In Japan, cattle feed has been successfully manufactured from wood that was not able to be used for much else.

When decomposed by this device, lignin and sugar decompose, and then becomes feed that contains a high concentration of nutrients. Since the produced feed is sterile and its nutritional value is high, it improves digestion and absorption in livestock, a shortening of the growth period, and an increase in meat quality.

This device has also been introduced to hospitals for infectious medical waste disposal, and to administrative agencies for the safe disposal of PCB and other hazardous chemical substances.

As a practical example of possible applications, the racecourses in Tokyo pay an estimated annual disposal fee of 70 million Japanese yen to handle horse excrement from their stables. If these racecourses were to use the company device, the processing costs would be greatly reduced, and other garbage generated from the racetracks could also be processed at the same time.

Within the EU, it is difficult to build new disposal sites due to a shortage of reclaimed land and opposition from nearby residents. Local authorities are reprocessing landfill waste that has been reclaimed from the past, so this device could provide a solution to this problem and be a cheaper alternative to incineration or landfill. It is a clean process that can decompose organic matter using just water and thermal energy. It converts all organic matter into a low molecular weight, sterilized and detoxified product. Alternatively, processing plastic waste for just fifteen minutes can produce fuel that can obtain similar calories to coal.

The device contains technology capable of decomposing any type of flammable waste in a pressure tank and rendering it aseptic and harmless. This is done by processing it at a temperature of around 200℃, and 20 atm of pressure, and by just adding water. The water molecules are then activated through a continuously generated “hydrolysis reactions” and thereby easily react: most plastic products can then be decomposed into the water and carbon dioxide. Hazardous heavy metals contained in sewage sludge can be rendered harmless and harmful bacteria also disappear. The structure of this device consists of a compact boiler, a pressure tank, and a switchboard. What stands out is that it has an easy to understand mechanism and in usage causes few practical issues. In general, the device can be installed for less than 20% of the cost of constructing an incinerator - and it requires less space. A complete circulation-type recycle system can be created in any area where the device is used, therefore improving the environment of the surrounding area. The device can mix-process household waste, plastic, scrap wood, paper, clothing, food scraps, livestock excrement, sewage sludge, and medical waste etc. in as short a time as fifteen to sixty minutes. For example, in about fifteen minutes, the device can complete biogas fermentation pre-treatment of organic substances such as sewage sludge, food waste, and waste construction materials etc. By putting it in a fermentation tank after the processing stage, biogas production can increase by 50% or more, compared to existing facilities.
