A metal injection moulding company in Japan, with existing sales in Europe, seeks technical sales representative with a large network in medical, jewellery and other sectors where advanced precision technology is used, under a commercial agency agreement . The company has a longstanding experience in mould designing and would like to make partnerships with EU companies which seek higher specification of MIM components.



A Japanese metal injection moulding (MIM) is offering its advanced manufacturing services of small metal components used for medical equipment, optical devices, automotive, robots, jewellery, consumer goods and similar industries.

The company has high mould designing skills based on their several decades of experience. In addition, they offer plastic insert MIM technique, which supports wider design flexibility, especially inside of the MIM components and less than 1 mm size of components’ production. The company has original techniques for the MIM mass production in smaller size and higher tolerance components. For example, the company has produced many micro-forceps for various major medical device manufacturers.

The company would like to build up a new network of connections with those who seek higher specification of MIM components in Europe.

The other product features is micro-gear. They have capability to produce gear module less than 0.2 mm.
They have produced internal helical gear with backside wall which is very difficult to make with Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machining or other method. Also they have a lot of experiences of mass production of special gear, such as helical, bevel, mitre, two-stage gear, internal, and so on.

The partner is expected to play a role of sales representative by introducing the company’s MIM techniques and developing new business contacts in their region.

The company has customers in Europe such as Austria, Italy, Spain, Switzerland and Germany. They have been a member of IVAM micro technology network in Germany since 2000. They have a factory and R&D department both in Japan and Thailand. In Thailand, the R&D department has an ongoing co-researching project with the National Metal and Materials Technology Centre.

The company is specialised in mass production of small MIM components and porous metal. Most of their products have a size of less than 10 mm. They are capable of applying smaller metal powder for their mass production process, thus they provide higher tolerance and smoother surface components compared with their MIM competitors. They also manufacture check valve with the outside diameter of 2.25 mm and they are skillful producing further smaller valves while standard size of check valve is 6.35mm to 9.525mm. They have wider range of material selection compared with other MIM manufactures. They have plenty of experience of mass production with usage of SUS (stainless steel). It includes usage of SUS 316L/304L, 17-4PH and other stainless steel including of titanium, titanium alloy, copper, copper alloy, tungsten alloy, nickel, precious metal, heavy alloy (tungsten and molibden) and other metal powders.
