A long established Latvian research centre specialized in molecular biology and biomedicine has evolved into a powerful scientific centre performing basic as well as applied research in three major directions:
- molecular medicine and disease mechanisms;
- cancer research;
- structural biology, biotechnology and virusology.
The centre offers an innovative and unique personalized molecular diagnostic test for breast cancer for therapy selection and disease monitoring.
The test has been developed to deal with the problem in relation to chemotherapy that usually causes significant side effects. The mentioned set will help doctors to make appropriate treatment decisions and further monitor the progress of treatment. The set of tests consists of tumor profiling technology (somatic mutation technology) and a personalized 'liquid biopsy' test.
The Centre is looking for partners for cooperation under license agreement- both SMEs and large enterprises - working in the field of medical examination and diagnostics that perform both laboratory services and cancer examination tests
